Preview of iPhone OS4

Folders, New SDK, MULTITASKING! Looks like Apple has been listening to what we have to say! The OS4 is expected to be released in the summer for the iPhone and in the fall for the iPad. The new OS 4 will not however be available to any iPhone generation prior to the 3GS. Here is a list of the new features provided by Engadget.

• Multitasking.
• Spell check (like on the iPad).
• Bluetooth keyboard support (again, on the iPad).
• User-defined wallpaper (a jailbreak favorite).
• Tap to focus when recording video, just like with photos, and a 5x digital zoom for the camera.
• Playlist creation and nested playlists.
• App folders for sorting apps! You can even put an app folder in the dock.
• Enhanced Mail! You can have a merged inbox view, switch between inboxes quickly, and sync to more than one Exchange account. There's also threaded messaging (at last!) and in-app attachment viewing.
• iBooks, just like on iPad, only smaller. You can wirelessly sync books between platforms, a la Kindle.
• Enterprise features, including remote device management and wireless app distribution.
• Game Center. It's like Xbox Live, but for iPhone games. Includes achievements, leaderboards, and match making. It will be available as a "developer preview," and out for consumers later this year.

Poor Jason Derulo American Idol performance

American Idol was on last night and Andrew Garcia was close to being kicked out. Jason Derulo came on stage and sang "In My Head." If you take out the pyro background and dance moves, I give this performance 2/10 stars. 1 for being that I like the song (on the radio) and another for trying. Jason had a glove on (to I guess dedicate his performance to the late MJ or maybe make another statement) and well, gave it his best. He did write his own songs and I think his songs are pretty bomb so I give him credit for that. He just has to work on his vocals. If someone were to perform live, I'd rather have him or her stand in one spot and do a few moves while singing in tune rather than bouncing around and not having enough energy to barely sing.
