Although the
wonderful and oh so beautiful iPad is very appealing sitting at $499 (around $550 including tax), Apple seems to be making a very nice profit from it. If you've bought an iPod or any Apple product in the past few years, you know that you are paying more for the Apple brand. Which company doesn't do this? Right? From what I remember, when Sony's PS3 came out, Sony was actually pricing their glamorous product $200 below the amount to produce it! You might think this is crazy but it turned out to be for the best in the long run. Since Apple is offering a low-end $499 model, you would think that it's a steal! Turns out that's wrong.
